Never had anything to do with those machines. Wern't they the ones with the swing tube that went top to bottom in the hopper? Like a Putz elephant trunk, but tighter? Too strange |

Used to have a service manual. Wasnt that much different to the PM one. PM can provide spares by Wibau part numbers. But a WARNING they are not cheap in any way nor even close to the price of a PM part! Following comments, all from experience over the years with the machine. About Wibau The Sqeeze crete were helluva pumping unit. Very reliable. AND many still operate today. I think, i remember hearing from Germany back in 1990 (when i was 9) that it was the best designed squeeze crete of its time. Basically Wibau was bought out by PM around the late 80's because PM wanted the rights to sqeeze crete system (labeled BRF at the time) for the PM PUMI. Downfall The Piston Krete (BPK) models although theoretically just as good as an common S valve. Practically it was a failure! There was no adjustment on the wear plate as the trunk was positioned vertically there was nothing to act as a force to keep the wear plate tight apart from your delivery pressure. So in between trucks you had to reverse a couple of strokes then start forward. This wasn't always successful! The concrete filling ratio was terrible and the boom always seemed to weight more than a standard boom of its size. 16KN on each front outriggers!!! At the time when PM and schwing were building their reputation as the leaders, nobody was interested in a Wibau CP. The units depreciated massively. Mechanically On the 3 stage Z the 3rd stage wouldnt even get to the front of the cab or even near it with anything more than 2.8 meter hose. Oil tank was badly designed over 300 Litres, the sucking port was up real high so you needed 150 just to reach the suction port. On the plus side. They had really tough Hydramatic pumps and at the time when standard PM had the single sundstrand the hydramatic gave very high oil volume and delivery pressure of 80 BAR! Most components were made by Danfoss & hydramatic. The module Brain was huge and complex, and the high pressure water vacuum vessel always seemed to fail or rust out. Think of the PM one in the tank, this one was outside and open to oxidation. Maintenance Rebuild tranfer tube every year, complete with bushes. No central lubrication in S tube means grease the tube every 30 mins operating time otherwise slurry would catastrophically seize the trunk. The 2 piece traverser had to be hardfaced and dropped whilst cleaning, to access cylinders. It wasnt fun putting them back after washing easy 40 Kgs and it wasnt fun getting vaccum leakes when sucking back either! Washing up took good 45 mins. Hopper way too small. History Used to have a 1985 BPK 60 25-21M. Was one of the better Wibau examples. We changed the whole system and then sold the pump a year ago. Mind you in the time of limited concrete pumps to service a growing clientel it gave good "back breaking" service and a helluva maintenance schedule. We ended up retrofitting a PM rear end on it finally before being sold. Funnily enough the BRF retrofit fits perfectly, as long as you have all components!
Hope that helps! |
