Im in n.c. and gas pumps are crazy right now!! they are sayin gas may reach $7.00 a gallon. so needless to say every fuel station in town is a mad house. anyone else goin threw this? the news is saying its due to hurricane IKE?

I gassed up the old heap yesterday in Parker,Colorado yesterday at $3.47 a gal (gas) and thought I stole it.

   According to the news 95% of the Gulf of Mexico oil and gas production is currently shut down due to Ike.Production will not return to normal for 2-3 weeks because of power outages and damage.

Its 6:30 in OR. and watching the news, they said gas was only going up 50 to 60 cents, everyone in the south is freaking out according to the news, but I can understand. God Bless all those in the south.

Here in Virginia the stations were crazy today, around 7pm got mine at $3.47, supposed to be around $5.00 by morning.

Gas Shortage?

I've been commuting on a bike now for a few years.  It started out as a sunny, fun thing to do...then I started riding it full time...just recently, in the past 6 months or so,  have I noticed that it pays to ride.  It went from $12 a week to $19 as of late.

hey derek, we are in wyoming and got it for $3.50 but all our family lives in NC and they said it was crazy everywhere there, some places went up $.50 and some went up a $1 and most were running out. Same thing happened when Katrina came and we were living in FL, sky rocketed and ran out.

hey Derek, get this. Here in sask. canada(oil and gas country) gas went up 13 cents (liter) to about 5 bucks a gallon. because of Ike.

 They produce it, upgrade it and refine it just up the road from here.

No hurricane here.
