And I thought water and a clean out spot was tough to find on a job site. That must need at least 440 3 phase power. I bet it is quiet though.

What is the maximum hydraulic pressure on that dude?

Found their website Schwing Bioset

Cool thing.
But just can't see why it needs 3 or 4 big cabinets full of electronics and stuff just too pump.

It would be cool to actually here the pump pumping instead of the roar of a diesel engine. Would love to see one in action.

used two operate one in 1982, cant remember what size pump it was

about 900 schwing  used to sit it under the concrete plant with a hopper above doing 900 meter pours every day over three weeks, that just had one cable going to it and it was still quite noisy, on the last day we had five pumps working and they all broke down apart from the 750 thomson we had as stand by pumped the last 200m with it and got a 23 hour shift

We will be using this unit on the new Toronto Trump Tower. The power pack will be located on P2 and the pump kit will be located on P1 for easy access by the ready mix trucks. This unit has some trick features which will enable us to control the acceleration of the strokes to the point of zero shock on our pipe system as well a few other secrets. Another nice feature is we can run with only one electric motor depending on the volume and pressure required. Access on this site was the main concern, so we've designed a complete concrete system to accommodate the contractors needs. In this market we need to think outside the box.

Looks different than the ones I've ran. I've never seen them as two units. The ones I've seen looked exactly the same as a trailor or skid mount but instead of a diesel engine there's an electric motor powering the hyd.pump. I guess being two parts the pump kit can be powered by another means if needed?

Yes they are the same Baldor motors that power placing booms

Yes they are Very quiet compared to diesel power, they take some getting used to, you can hear the concrete slapping through the boom pipe much better!

 Cool pix Todd.

I think you would be disapointed about how quiet it is. We have a simpel 1408 EL on our site and its quite noisy. Ok a bit more quite than the diesel but you still need hearing protection. You still have to shout to eachother. And the sound of the electric enigine is quite an irritating winding sound so you get a bit crazy of it.

Only advantage I see in EL pumps is that they don't polute at the spot. Great for when you are inside a building or tunnel. For the rest only disadvantages in my eyes. The are much bigger and much harder to move and set up..

Pumpcrete seems to have the coolest portfolio I have evere seen. If I was not part of a family owned buisness I would give my left nut to work for Pumpcrete. I would love to see the speck sheet on that unit buy totaly understand if it is under wraps at this point. After all the negative things that have been said about schwing on this site it is great to see they are still a leader in this industry and thinking out side the box aswell.

Access guys.  Downtown Toronto is a god awful place to build.  The logostics for deliveries of rebar and formiwork mechanical supplies is almost impossible to coordinate so that being said there is probably not enough room on ground level for a 8800 diesel or electric plus access for 2 trucks at a timeplus an area to stage trucks inspectors etc.  So pump kit on one floor the motors and pumps one floor down is a great idea.  The 2 accumulators are needed to drive that rock especially whe you start getting up there at 600 ft same for that long transition.  When you get up there and the stress of every stroke you think the back end will pop off you can chain and trap that back.  These new high pressure machines guys are not for the faint of heart, it is 8 to 36 hrs of concentrating on pressuresslumps etc. Not that mobiles you don't do the same thing but with these machines they build up to 150 bar material pressure more than enough to blow clamps onyour booms apart. We pump operators are a different lot to begin with but high rise guys are different again.  Hanging off the edge of 70 story buildings to change out pipe days of setup days of teardown. Staying on top of all the different mix designs that can show up in one pour.  Have fun with that one Ken and Hear is a suggestion, put a camera facing your panels on the floor belowmaybe 2or three to be able to see any issues that will arise downstairs, blown lines blown breakers etc.  I think your operators would really appreciate it.
