A 39-year-old man was taken to the hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening after a commercial cement truck ran through a Billings stop sign and t-boned his pickup truck Monday.

At about 6:35 a.m. Billings Police responded to the wreck at the intersection of Second Avenue North and North 13th Street.

Sgt. Shawn Finnegan said the 2011 Dodge Ram Pickup was headed south on North 13th Street when a westbound commercial truck driven by a 43-year-old Park city man failed to stop at a stop sign on Second Avenue North.

The pickup suffered heavy damage to its passenger side and was sent a few hundred feet down Second Avenue North before eventually colliding with a cement barrier along the side of a steel building.

The driver of the commercial truck was not injured. He will be cited with failure to stop at a stop sign, Finnegan said.
