when out pumping a retal.  by yourself.  need to use 150 of hoses (with/without pipe).  nothing difficult to set up.

who sets up and drains the system?

we always run two guys on our linepumps up to 200 ft anything over that we charge for a extra man , I use to rely on the customer to provide help , but too many times that did not happen , so now our linepump rates are inflated , but we stay plenty busy with them.

Anything over 70-80 feet the boss man usually delivers the system the day b4 the pour. The customer hooks it up and I give it the once over in the morning to make sure everything is hooked up properly. If I have time I'll clean everything but if not the customer is reaponsible. If any extra cleaning it to be done at the yard the customer is charged...full hourly pump time for however long it takes.

I've worked for a couple outfits that "rented" the system to the customer/contractor. It worked well because it was taken much better care of when they knew they'd be charged more if it wasn't properly cleaned. And it lets the operator do his job a lot better. Which is operating the concrete pump, without having to stop the pour to clean system. And in many cases, find an adequate place and water source to do so. It also eliminates the common expectation of the operator to run the hose and place their concrete and set it up and break & shake & wash & load etc..

When the delivery system is actually "rented" to the customer and delivered with a rental agreement stating that they are 100% responsible for the system in every way. Labor, cleaning etc. It eliminates a lot of questions, confusion & misunderstanding when its time to pour. It also placed the liability and responsibility where it should be, directly with the customer. If they tear or damage a hose, they pay for it. If they kink it and hurt someone or blow the glass out of their sliding glass door, it's their problem.
