That is right Big boom operator Sam Wright is looking to move to Texas and is looking for work as a big boom operator here in the states. I think he is about 200 years late getting here but he is a great guy and better late then never. I personly will voutch for this guy. I believe he is a great operator and loves our industry. Sam and I work together on Concrete Pumping World Wide on facebook and in other ways. Sam has a great understanding of our industry and is one of the safest operators I have ever known.

Is there a reason this seasoned operator wants to go to Texas?  You cant even carry a gun on your hip in Texas............Louisiana is the place to be.........Try Western in Baton Rouge, lots of plant work and plenty of hours. All good lookin trucks and well maintained to boot.     the gumbo aint bad either     aaaaaaaeeeeeehhh

He's be wise to take a job with any good company running any size pump instead of just wanting to run a big boom. There are many more experienced people then him already working at good pumping companies looking to move up. Get your foot in the door and prove yourself.

When I was a very young operator I thought I was pretty good at it.

After 5 years I thought I was one of the best.

A few years later I realized I didn't know as much as I thought I did.

Experience is the best teacher.

If you're an good, safe operator at a young age you can have a long safe career, if you stay humble and keep learning.

after tens years of moving the boom, ive been on the rubber side lately.  interesting seeing things when I'm at the mercy of a pump rental.  good lessons and eye opener.

lol you lucky doug.  i got it at year 1(cowboy boom party), then year 3(vancouver pumping, no boom party thank the gods), and year 9(boom party off prime).  humbling to say the least.

due for an incident yesterday...
