Wow, 8000 SQ FT basement. 94 cubic yard floor at 4". 250 feet of hose and pipe. I did it in two pours (pumps) yesterday and today. Straight  #4000 mud pumped great through three inch system just one plug in the reducer.                                  Thought i'd share i like seeing line jobs.

Three inch system. I primed with quick gell bentonite poured a bucket in then another bucket on the line half way. I only had one plug from a chunk of cap in the reducer i fixed it before they rely even knew i was plugged. it went well.

Do you "pre-wet" your lines by rolling water through them?

No Terry i didn't wet the hoses but the first day i did dump two buckets in the first hose and one half way through, it primed perfectly.  With three inch system two buckets of quick gell (not grey bentonite) is wise.                                                         On that long pump how did you guys clean out? thats quite a job!

I do the easy way anything over 300 feet on a line job i just pick up the phone and call Ken and have him deal with it. My line pump just is not powerful enough.

Hi Eric, no actually i sold it not too long ago. I had both for a while seeing which went out the most and it was no contest. The 305 was a great pump i bet i pumped 10s of thousands of yards with it and never let me down. But a guy called me for advice on pumping slurry to grout prestressed concrete and what kind of pump to buy i gave him advice and said actually ive got the prefect pump and i sold him mine. How have you been ? What kind of equipment are you running these days?

Still running the 1570 Olin, the 28 3 11 and a 32 4 12 Putz' black and white booms. My son like to line pump our basment floors off the tip of the 28 reducing to 3 inch rubber. He has a good system for priming. I am still trying to get a budget to mount the Olin on a 5 ton. I do hate trailering in the winter on our roads :-)

I love my one ton for pulling. I wired my trailer brakes up and they work great. Here's a job i did this morning. Man good mud makes my day so much easier! 28 yards in and out 2.5 hrs
