Where in the world did these redimix drivers learn to back up to the pump  unaided?Should there be a rule that states that a truck should ALWAYS be backed up to the pump with someone watching?  Son of a biscuit, please stop this foolishness now.I bit off a drivers head today because of his stupidity. Maybe i should take some of this 30-something mentality and play with my phone and not worry about some poor saps life behind my pump,THINK

Here's one from last week. Was re routing the hose and driver thought he was doing me a favor. Until he slammed into the backsplash on the pump. Idiot. Worst part is, he has done this before. Asked me to not make a claim against readymix company. Said he would pay himself to repair. Jackass got fired. And ready mix fixed it.   Glad nobody was walking between the hopper and mixer. Pure stupidity.

I know what you mean, so sick of em backing in at mach speeds here too, my backsplash gets hit a lot due to the fact they won't slow down, you signal em to stop and they come back another foot before actually stopping.

How about a backsplash with a hinge, spring loaded to stay in place?

while running a larger fleet, I always had a spare back splash. Bad thing is that when they hit the backsplash, they always take out the hopper grate switch as well.
