And why?? How much time does it take to swing round and put it in the cradle??  I bet its less than the time you loose by driving like this

He might be smarter than he's getting credit for..on some Cifa units the operator's manual says its okay to move with boom in front of truck...I can see where he at least had the sense to slew it to uphill side which probably prevented a turnover in that terrain.  Maybe a little gentler would be good but he may have had a good reason for doing this..I'd like to see the 5 minutes of video prior to that turn before being to critical.  I've ran into similar situations with a telebelt and all things considered it is sometimes better to access a tight site with boom already out of cradle...

I was thinking about something like that later also. Maybe he had to lock all his diffs to get up that hill and used the boom to get some more pressure on the front wheels so he can still steer. Sometimes you need to use every trick in the book to get the job done.

I also heared you can drive with the boom in front of the truck on some pumi's..

Yep I be in the back of the instruction manual that it says if you go off roading in your truck you can use the boom for counter weight. lol or maybe not. Lets ask CIFA.

HEY CIFA you see this?
