A second man with a pump whose duties are assigned by the designated operator of the pump. These duties would typically be; aiding the operator in any assembly, set up or pre pour activity; checking on the stability and viability of the pump and its immediate area while pumping; any cleaning or maintenance work that required care before, during or after the pour; any other duties assigned by the owner, manager or the pump operator. His duty and function is to the concrete pump. He may also, if so qualified, relieve the operator for brief periods during the pour.
