Joan Andersen Receives President’s Award 2006

ACPA Board Member Joan Andersen was recently honored with the President’s Award by The Federation of Woman Contractors (FWC). Joan is the owner of Andersen Concrete Pumping in Chicago. According to the group’s executive director, Beth Doria, “Joan received the Award for her outstanding leadership in helping to further the Federation’s goals.” Andersen was influential in bringing in new members and corporate sponsors including Schwing America, ACPA member and manufacturer of concrete pumping equipment.. Joan is only the 14th person to receive the award in the Federation’s 108-year history.
The Federation of Women Contractors was founded in 1989 and is committed to the advancement of entrepreneurial women in the construction industry. FWC members include general contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, and service related firms representing every facet of construction.
